PECAN PIE

*Ingredients list:

H°omemade shortbread
°200 grams of flour
°100 gm cold butter
°1/2 tsp. salt
°1 c. brown sugar or sugar
°40 ml water
°to decorate
°3 eggs
°200 gm pecans and mixed nuts
°175g sugar and brown sugar (eg 100g brown sugar and 75g sugar)
°35 grams butter
°1 c. Corn Starch
°1 c. 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract or 2 packages of vanilla sugar
°1 tbsp. Glucose, honey or maple syrup

Prepare the short pastry: mix the flour, salt and sugar
Add the cold butter cut into pieces and knead with your fingertips
Rub the flour between your hands so that the butter melts well.
Add cold water and mix it with your hand to get a ball
Put it in the fridge for 30 minutes before wrapping it up.
Make the filling by whisking eggs and sugar
Then add glucose, melted butter, and vanilla
Finally, add the cornstarch
Arrange the walnuts in the pie crust
Cover and bake at 175°C (160°C on rotary) for 45 minutes.
Leave it to cool for at least two hours before eating.
